Remeši sauna is located near Riga, designed for sauna rituals, heated with a wood-burning stove and offering beautiful views both from the sauna benches and the relaxation room. Remeši sauna is created for rest, relaxation, and rejuvenation of body and soul.

The sauna ritual is an important tradition in Latvian culture, associated not only with physical purification, but also with spiritual and emotional renewal.

We invite you to leave everyday rush, worries, responsibilities, and your phone behind the sauna door, and slowly enjoy peace, silence, the vibrations of folk songs, gentle body pampering, and the renewal (reset) of body and spirit.

PIRTAŽAS

The first months of life are magical. When the baby has already spent a month discovering the world and the mother has begun to embrace her new role, it is the perfect time for the Pirtīžas ritual. It is a special sauna ritual for a family with a baby — gentle, heartfelt, and filled with love.

The father brings water from three different sources. The mother prepares an herbal bath. The baby is bathed and receives a blessing. The ritual of removing the baby’s fine birth hairs takes place. A symbolic separation of the baby from the mother also occurs — on an energetic level.

The mother has a moment to be with herself, receive a gentle massage, and rediscover herself as a loved woman. The father also receives his energizing sauna whisk treatment!

And finally — dressed in white garments, with loved ones by their side, the family celebrates the baby’s welcoming into the lineage. A pure, warm family moment.
