SAUNA RITUAL WITH A SAUNA MASTER

The sauna ritual is a meaningful tradition in Latvian culture, associated not only with physical cleansing, but also with spiritual and emotional renewal.

We invite you to leave the rush of everyday life, worries, responsibilities and your phone behind the sauna door, and surrender to peace and tranquillity. The sauna ritual is time for yourself – cleansing the body, restoring energy, letting go of what is no longer needed and receiving the energy you need at that particular moment.

The ritual combines the vibrations of Latvian folk songs, the warmth of the sauna, plants, water and other natural elements, creating a space for renewal of the body, mind and energy.

PIRTĪŽAS

The first months of a baby’s life are magical. Once the little one has spent a month getting to know the world, and the mother has begun to settle into her new role, it is time for Pirtīžas. It is a special sauna ritual for the mother and baby – gentle, heartfelt and filled with love.

The father brings water from three different springs. The mother prepares a herbal bath. The baby is bathed in the little tub and receives a blessing. Conversations and sharing take place. The symbolic umbilical cord is cut from the mother – now on an energetic level.

For the mother, this is a moment to simply be herself, receive a gentle massage and draw strength from her loved ones. The father also receives his moment – a strengthening whisking ritual!

And finally, everyone wraps themselves in white sheets and enjoys a meal together with their loved ones. A pure and warm family moment.
