SUP expedition
Remesi offers active and exciting SUP expeditions,
May the adventure remain in your memory and make you want to repeat it in other Latvian rivers!
Season
The SUP expedition takes place during the warm season, from April to October. However, we recommend dressing appropriately for the weather.
Duration
The duration of the adventure is from three to six hours. We offer routes of different lengths for every participant.
Routes
SUP expeditions are organized on various Latvian rivers, suitable for each season - spring, summer or autumn.
SUP expedition routes
SUP expedition on the Misa River
- 30 €/1 person
- 15 €/1 person (with own equipment)
Misa is an opportunity to enjoy the charm of nature, the sound of birds and streams. An adventure in nature and on the water just 30 minutes from the center of Riga.
– Route length: approximately 14 km
– Expedition duration: 5 hours
– The expedition is intended for both beginners and experienced SUPers
The Misa flows through forested areas and plains, providing a home for various aquatic animals – beavers, water rats and minks. On the SUP expedition, we will go through the summer cottage district „Dzērumi”, along 2 pedestrian bridges – at one we will see an impressive large tree, which can be covered by 4 people. Next, a forested section with steep banks. In this place, the river pleases with untouched natural views, dominated by tree root systems worthy of scenes from fairy tales.

SUP expedition on the Brasla River
- 30 €/1 person

Brasla is a very beautiful river, where you can enjoy picturesque views. On the banks of the river you can see beautiful rock outcrops. Easy paddling.

– Expedition duration: 4 hours
– The expedition is intended for both beginners and experienced SUPers
The sound of the Brasla River combined with the songs of birds, especially during the spring floods, is like a symphony. During the SUP expedition we will explore Mazstraupe Castle, underground lakes, Burtaku Rock and Avotmuiža Rocks.

SUP expedition on the Lielupi River
- 30 €/1 person

The Lielupe River is rich in scenic sections: a small stream, rapids, and interesting sights.
– Route length: approximately 13-15 km
– Expedition duration: 2-4 hours
– The expedition is intended for both beginners and experienced SUPers
The Lielupe is the largest river in central Latvia. It flows through the Zemgale Plain. Therefore, its flow is slow and calm. During the SUP expedition, we will visit Bauska Castle, Dolomite outcrops near Bauska Castle, Ķirbaksala, the ruins of Jumpravmuiža Manor, Cepli and Mežotne Castle.

SUP expedition on the Ogre River
- 30 €/1 person
- 15 €/1 person (with own equipment)
The Ogre River is beautiful with its magnificent forest landscapes and colorful dolomite rocks. In the Ogre, rapid sections of the river alternate with calm ones.
– Route length: approximately 15-22 km
– Expedition duration: 2-6 hours
– The expedition is intended for both beginners and experienced SUPers
Ogre is the third longest river in Latvia, it flows through Madona, Cēsis and Ogre regions. The length of the river is 188 km, the drop is 222 m, the main tributaries are Līčupe and Aviekste. During the SUP expedition we will see Asari Bay, Akmensdārza, Kalnrēži cliffs, Ogre dolomite cliff, colorful cliffs, diverse forests, Straume mill, rope bridges, dolomite outcrops.

SUP expedition on the Amata River
- 30 €/1 person
- 15 €/1 person (with own equipment)
The Amata is a fast and rapid river with fascinating views, naturally formed sandstone outcrops, as well as the mighty and mythical Zvārte Rock.
– Route length: approximately 16-19 km
– Expedition duration: 3-6h
– The expedition is intended for both beginners and experienced SUPers
The Amata is a left-bank tributary of the Gauja River. The ancient valley of the Amata River is found in the Vidzeme Highlands, and is one of the deepest and most unique river valleys in Vidzeme and Latvia. The section of the river to the Karlis Dam is steep. Many beautiful rocks open up on its banks.

The Amata River invites you on a unique adventure that promises diverse and breathtaking natural views and interesting educational objects! During the SUP expedition, we will explore Zvārtes Rock, Ainavu Cliff, Dolomite Cliff and many rock outcrops on the banks.

What should be considered?
To enjoy your SUP adventure, we recommend that you follow the following conditions:
- Check the weather forecast before your SUP adventure
- Prepare clothing according to the weather conditions
Make sure you have a drink to bring with you. - In the summer, we recommend using sunscreen.
- Get a waterproof bag for your phone or camera if you want to take beautiful nature photos.
- We recommend bringing a spare pair of waterproof clothing (including shoes) so you have something to change into if you get wet.
- We will transport SUP adventure participants from the finish to the starting point by car
How to find us?
“Remesi” is located 30 minutes drive from the center of Riga. Access from the A9 highway, right before the “Steķi” bus stop. The recreation area can also be reached by the Riga-Kalnciems bus, the bus stop is located at the entrance to the territory.
